English Personal Color Analysis in Seoul: How to Book and What to Expect

You can book an English personal color analysis in Seoul without speaking Korean, provided you choose a studio that clearly offers English support. Some studios have English-speaking analysts, while others provide an interpreter, sometimes for an additional fee. Check which option is included before paying.

Two Ways English Works at a Studio

Some studios have analysts who speak English themselves. A Myeongdong listing on Expedia and Travelocity describes an English-speaking analyst, while Season of You in Yongsan lists English-speaking staff on Trazy.

Other studios conduct sessions in Korean with an interpreter. Color of You in Hongdae offers translation services in English and several other languages, according to its Creatrip listing. If interpretation costs extra, the total can be considerably higher. One traveler’s account described paying KRW 25,000 per hour for an interpreter under a spring discount, compared with the usual KRW 50,000. This is an example from one studio, not a standard industry rate.

Where to Book

Travel platforms let you browse English-language listings and pay by card. Booking directly means contacting the studio through its own channels, where the process may differ.

  • Creatrip. Many personal color listings carry an “English Available” label. Some bookings include a free Creatrip Buddy service that provides English support through WhatsApp or LINE, depending on the listing.
  • Trazy. It lists Season of You and The Kolor, which offers consultations in English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
  • Trip.com and Klook. A Seoul travel guide from HaniSeoul recommends these platforms for finding studios with English support.
  • Expedia and Travelocity. Both list the Koreal personal color session in Myeongdong, with free cancellation shown on the listing.
  • Direct booking. Some studios accept reservations through Instagram or messaging channels. Dustmoth Stography is also listed on Creatrip. Its listing says verification through the provided contact begins seven days before the reservation, so read the confirmation instructions carefully.

Studios That List English Support

The following options have been described as offering English support or appearing on English-language booking platforms. Check the individual listing before booking, as prices, availability and service arrangements can change.

  • Color of You (Hongdae). Near Hongik University Station. Creatrip’s older blog post lists a 60-minute, one-on-one color consultation at KRW 193,000. Treat this as a reference price and check the current listing before booking.
  • Season of You (Yongsan). Offers private sessions near Sinyongsan Station, with English-speaking staff listed on Trazy.
  • The Kolor (near Gasan Digital Complex Station). Offers 30-minute basic and 60-minute special consultations. Its description mentions a colorimeter skin tone reading and a review of the makeup products you bring.
  • Koreal (Myeongdong). Listed as a one-hour session with an English-speaking analyst. Prices have been reported at around $141–$179, depending on the booking platform and date.
  • Dustmoth Stography. Listed on Creatrip. Asia Tatler describes a three-hour visit that includes a color theory course, draping and styling tips at a location in Geumcheon-gu, outside the Gangnam and Hongdae areas commonly featured in travel guides.
  • Vic’s Lab (Hongdae). A travel guide describes it as an established option, with a reported price of KRW 180,000. The guide does not clarify how English support is provided, so confirm the language arrangements directly before booking.

Creatrip’s English-language listings for Myeongdong, Hongdae, Garosugil and Cheongdam have shown starting prices of approximately $75–$157, with an “English Available” label. These figures are listing snapshots rather than guaranteed current prices.

What It Costs

HaniSeoul gives a general range of KRW 100,000–180,000 for a one-on-one session lasting one to one and a half hours, and KRW 80,000–120,000 per person for a two-person session. Packages that include interpretation, styling or body-shape analysis may cost more. The older Color of You listing mentioned above is already above the upper end of that general range.

Before paying, check three things on the booking page: the session length, whether English support or interpretation is included, and whether makeup or styling advice is part of the package.

How Far Ahead to Book

HaniSeoul’s guide recommends booking popular studios at least one to two months ahead. Individual booking policies vary, however. Color of You’s listing has stated a minimum one-day advance reservation, while Waug says bookings are confirmed within 24 hours. These are platform-specific arrangements, not guarantees of availability.

If your travel dates are fixed, booking once your flights are confirmed gives you more time to compare studios and choose a suitable appointment.

Before Your Appointment

  • Bring the makeup you use regularly. Studios such as The Kolor review your products and may suggest options that suit your results.
  • Check the studio’s instructions about makeup before arriving. Some consultations recommend a bare face or minimal makeup so the analyst can assess your natural coloring.
  • Wear clothing without a high neckline or a strong color near your face. During draping, colored fabric is held near your skin, so clothing that leaves your neck area accessible can make the process easier.
  • If your session will be conducted in Korean, ask whether you can bring an interpreter or friend. Studios may have different room and guest policies.
  • Save your booking confirmation and the studio’s map link. Some studios are located on upper floors of buildings with small signs, so having the address and directions ready can help.

Session lengths and language arrangements vary across listings, so the booking page for your specific appointment is the best place to confirm the details before you go.
